Blue Velvet Shrimp (Neocaridina davidi var. “Blue Velvet”)

Blue Velvet Shrimp (Neocaridina davidi var. “Blue Velvet”) are striking freshwater dwarf shrimp with an intense blue colour that really pops in a planted tank. They’re great for beginners and experienced shrimp keepers alike, helping with algae control and cleaning up leftover food while adding constant movement and interest.

Blue Velvets thrive in a stable, mature aquarium with gentle filtration, lots of plants, moss and hiding spots. They are peaceful and ideal for shrimp-only tanks or with small, non-aggressive tank mates. With good water quality and a varied shrimp diet, they’ll show their best colour and breed readily in your aquarium.
